Employability Skills
Employability Skills is a course in which students will learn about what employers are looking for a
new hires why they need these skills and how they can acquire skills to help them better compete as they move into colleges and careers.
Starting next year, DD Tech will require students to take Employability Skills. Students enrolled in DD Tech are offered a variety of opportunities to explore and experience potential career pathways throughout their educational journey.
DDHS EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS STUDENTS BECOME EVERFI CERTIFIED

Delavan-Darien High School’s Employability Skills classes learn workplace skills in class, and practice their knowledge through EVERFI, an online platform.
EVERFI courses Keys to Your Future and Grow walk through workplace related modules including My Life Goals, Preparing in High School, Choosing a Path, Balancing Daily Life, Starting Your Career, Career Success, Planning for Your Future, Smart Money Habits, Growing Wealth, and Balancing Expenses and Savings.
Students must get a 70% or higher in each module to become certified. The Business Education department is proud to announce that 31 students became certified in the 2021-2022 school year.
